一般社団法人DeSci Japan（東京都千代田区、代表理事：伊山京助、 以下、DeSci Japan）は、分散型科学の進化とその実践を通じて、新しい知識の境界を拡大することや、ブロックチェーンなどの技術を用いながら出版・資金・社会・産業・組織・個人との関係といった現在抱えるサイエンスの問題に挑戦する取り組みを広く普及することを目指しています。
今回、DeSci Japanは、X（旧Twitter）Space上でのオンライントークイベントを2023年9月1日から始動します。
特別ゲストとして、「鳥学の世界で培われてきた知識生産エコシステムについて研究したい」というテーマで、分散型科学の要素を取り込んだ新たなクラウドファンディングに挑戦中の福岡大学・シチズンサイエンス研究センター長の森田泰暢さんを招待し、参加者の皆さんと、森田さんの新たな取り組みについてお伺いします。

森田泰暢さん プロフィール
福岡大学で経営学を教える傍ら、プライベートで地域の方々と好きなことを自由に研究してみる場（現在、一般社団法人ヒマラボとして運営）を作りました。その場自体がいつのまにか「シチズンサイエンス」という研究対象となってきて、そこから所属する福岡大学商学部に「シチズンサイエンス研究センター」を立ち上げ（2021年4月）、センター長になる。現在はセンターのメンバーと一緒に、地域連携プロジェクトのコーディネートを行いつつ、そのプロジェクトを通じて、研究や探究を行う文化を持ったエ
リアやコミュニティをどのように作ることができるかについて研究しています。

DeSci Japan Unveils New Online Talk Series on the X Platform (Previously known as Twitter Space)
TOKYO, Japan - The General Incorporated Association, DeSci Japan, fronted by its representative Kyosuke Iyama, is proud to announce the inauguration of its online talk series on the X Platform (formerly Twitter Space). With its unwavering commitment to decentralized science, DeSci Japan continues to spearhead efforts in harnessing blockchain and other innovative technologies to address prevalent scientific challenges across publishing, funding, societal constructs, industry, organizational dynamics, and personal engagements.
In the debut session, the spotlight will be on Dr. Yasunobu Morita, esteemed head of the Citizen Science Research Center at Fukuoka University. Dr. Morita is currently pioneering a novel crowdfunding approach that seamlessly integrates elements of decentralized science. The central theme under discussion will be his aspiration to delve deeper into the knowledge production ecosystem embedded in ornithological studies. Participants can anticipate an enlightening dialogue around Dr. Morita's avant-garde initiatives.
