体内年齢の測定およびトラッキングを可能にするヘルステック・スタートアップ、エーケイラボと、世界的に高い評価を受けるOISTは共同研究契約を締結し、DNAメチル化解析に基づいた体内年齢の測定法の研究・開発が期待されます。
この共同研究は、エーケイラボの長期計画の中で重要な位置を占めており、日本が長寿研究にて世界をリードするという目標を実現する第一歩となります。
日本は、少子高齢化による人口減少を背景に、老化や健康長寿に関する先進的な研究が進められており、この分野をリードするポテンシャルを秘めています。中でも沖縄は、世界5大長寿地域「ブルーゾーン」の一つとしても知られています。

ekei labs (located in Shibuya, Tokyo, represented by Bilal Kharouni, referred to as "ekei labs") and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (located in Onna, Okinawa. President & CEO, Karin Markides, referred to as "OIST") have signed a joint research agreement on a DNA-sequencing methodology to advance biological age analysis.
ekei labs, a health tech startup specializing in enabling measurement and tracking of biological age, has formed a research partnership with the globally acclaimed science institution OIST.
