岸田政権のスタートアップに関する5年計画と投資額10倍増の目標に応えるべく、フェミュニティは特に女性起業家への投資と支援を強化します。これに伴い、名古屋市千種区星が丘を拠点に地元ステイクホルダー連携のもと、女性起業家向けイノベーションセンターを開発していきます。そこで第一段として、日本国内の女性起業家が直面する資金調達、金融教育、市場機会、コミュニティネットワークの不足（※１）の課題を解消するため、フェミュニティは次のような新しい取り組みを開始します。

1. 全国の女性起業家向けにデジタルコミュニティとイノベーションプログラムの創出

2. 女性起業家向けインパクトファンドの設立および金融エコシステム構築

3. 日米女性起業家のためのGlobal Entrepreneurial Exchange Program (GExP)の創設

日本は少子化が進行する一方で、高齢化率が高まり、2050年には現在の２倍近い約36％にも達します。 生産年齢人口（15歳から64歳までの人口）も減少し、2050年には現在（2004年）よりも約３千万人も減少すると予測されています。（国立社会保障・人口問題研究所「日本の将来推計人口」（平成14年１月推計）の中位推計）

女性たちが子育てをしながらビジネスを展開し、同じく子育てする世代を雇用するためにはDE&Iを前提としたコミュニティの形成と街のインフラづくりにおいて女性たちも男性に等しくリードする必要性があります。

一方で、多様な働き方を受け入れていくとマネジメントコストが大きくなるため、両者はトレードオフの関係になりがちです。そこで私たちは、オンラインやAI、メタバースなどのデジタル技術を総合的に活用したコミュニティ運営メソッドを開発し、DE&Iを実現するデジタルコミュニティを探究することで多様性とマネジメントをトレードオンの関係に変え、発展的に解消していくことを目指します。

女性が参画する街づくり活動のプロトタイプとして、愛知県名古屋市千種区星が丘に置く物理的拠点と、全国の女性企業家ネットワークとを融合し、地域のステイクホルダーと共にこの地域を舞台に具体的に取り組んでいきます。

Global Innovation Ecosystem in Nagoya Kickstarts to Accelerate the Success of Female Entrepreneurs the World Needs: Japan-US Joint Women's Startup to Fully Support Female Innovation - Press Conference, Ceremony, and Stakeholder Meeting Scheduled for January 23, 2024

■ Introduction

femUniti Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “femUniti”) proudly announces its establishment as a global female enterprise in Japan, founded by impact leaders Setsu Suzuki from Nagoya and Meagan Ward from Detroit. Dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs and driving economic transformation, femUniti is focused on fostering innovation through education, research, inclusive urban planning, financial ecosystem development, and robust community infrastructure. femUniti will introduce its pioneering initiatives in a press conference along with open discussion by its Japan-US stakeholders on Jan 23rd, 2024.

Aligned with the Kishida administration’s five-year startup plan and its goal of a tenfold increase in investment, femUniti is poised to significantly strengthen its investment and support for female entrepreneurs. As part of this initiative, in collaboration with local stakeholders in Hoshigaoka, Chikusa Ward, Nagoya, femUniti is set to pioneer Japan's first female-focused innovation center. In its initial phase, femUniti will proactively address challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in Japan, including fundraising, financial education, market opportunities, and the lack of community networks ※1, through the introduction of the following innovative initiatives:

Creation of digital communities and innovation programs for female entrepreneurs nationwide.

Establishment of an impact fund for female entrepreneurs and building a financial ecosystem

Launch of the Global Entrepreneurial Exchange Program (GExP) for Japanese and American female entrepreneurs.
