株式会社Meta Akita（本社：秋田県秋田市、代表：赤坂 祐貴）は、Heirloom Inc.（本社：アメリカ・サンフランシスコ）とパートナーシップを締結し、共同で企画・開発した世界初(*)の「DID/VC技術を用いたデジタル血統書」を公益社団法人・秋田犬保存会（本社：秋田県大館市 会長：遠藤 敬）に2024年3月から導入開始いたします。

デジタル血統書のイメージ：スマートフォン上のアプリで簡単に提示することができ、DID/VC技術（詳細後述）と生体認証により偽造不可能かつ、確実な認証が可能となります。

デジタル血統書導入の背景

近年の傾向として、国内の秋田犬頭数は減少していますが、海外の秋田犬頭数は増加しています。海外で秋田犬人気が高まるにつれ、秋田犬保存会は更なる体制強化と血統書管理のデジタル化が急務となっています。この度、秋田犬保存会は安心安全な血統書のデジタル化とグローバル化を進めていく必要性があると判断し、メタ秋田が提供する改ざん不可能なデジタル血統書の導入を決定しました。


血統書は秋田犬の所有証明や秋田犬展覧会への参加時などに使用されています。

DID/VCとは？

DID/VCは、Decentralized Identifier(DID/分散型ID)、Verifiable Credential(VC/検証可能なデジタル証明書)のことを指し、ブロックチェーン技術を活用した次世代の認証・証明手段です。本技術により、証明書提示の際に、個人が自身に関する情報を自分で管理するという「秘匿性」、改ざん耐性やトレーサビリティという「安全性」、第三者から一度証明された情報を個人が自由に利用できる「利便性」が担保されます。2023年10月には三菱 UFJ 信託銀行株式会社や株式会社NTTデータなどの8社がDID/VCを活用したビジネス共創に取り組む「DID/VC 共創コンソーシアム」を設立するなど注目を集めており、将来的には他分野で広く実装されることが見込まれています。

デジタル血統書について

本サービスでは、秋田犬保有者に「デジタル血統書」と「管理アプリ」を提供し、紙の血統書が抱える「血統書の偽造」「デジタル化の遅れ」を解決します。

    • 血統書の偽造：海外を中心に秋田犬血統書の偽造の可能性

    • 紙ベースの管理：申請者が血統書を受領するまでの時間や海外郵送時の紛失

  • 解決方法：

    • ブロックチェーンの活用：偽造・改ざん不可能

    • DID/VCの活用：発行主（秋田犬保存会）と所有者（犬のオーナー）のなりすましを防止

    • 血統書のスマホアプリ化：利便性の向上（血統書受領までのリードタイム短縮と紛失防止）

Thus, in response to this demand and recognizing the importance of digitizing and globalizing secure pedigree, the Akita Inu Preservation Society has decided to implement tamper-proof digital pedigrees provided by Meta Akita and Heirloom.

DID/VC, which stands for Decentralized Identifier (DID) and Verifiable Credential (VC), represents the cutting-edge authentication and verification methods empowered by blockchain technology.
