今年も9月4日から5日にかけ、オランダのズンデルトにて毎年恒例のコルソ・ズンデルト・フラワーパレード(関連記事)が行われた。

　ダリアの花の名産地であるズンデルトでは、何千万本ものダリアの花で彩られた大きな山車(花車)を作って盛大なパレードを繰り広げるという催し物が1936年から続いている。この伝統行事は、世界最大級のフラワーパレードとして毎年多くの人々の目を楽しませている。

　今年は神秘的な生き物をテーマに、架空のクリーチャーや動物などを表現した作品が登場した。

　なお、甲乙つけがたい出来栄えの作品群の中から見事今年の優勝を射止めたのは、Tiggelaarチームによる「Dangerous Transportation (物騒な乗り物)」というタイトルの巨大なオレンジ色の竜だった。
